They provide solar powered facilities, healthy meals, double rooms, yoga and meditation space,

hiking and more.  Please see their website at:  www.Skalitude.com

We’ll car pool up there Friday, or meet us there.

He is also trained in India as a Oneness Blessing teacher. He teaches a body-friendly, heart centered, meditative flow yoga, as well as meditation and breath practices. He is author of healing Self, Healing Earth, and Poems from the Pasionate Heart.

Bill Hale, M.D. practices psychiatry and mind-body medicine at the Sastun Center of Integrative Health Care in Kansas City. For over ten years he has been teaching people how to suffer less --even in the midst of pain or other stressors -- through an intensive 8-week course in Stress Management based on Mindfulness Meditation. He has practiced meditation since 1973. In addition to his psychiatry residency at the Menninger Foundation, he completed a two-year internship in biofeedback therapy. He has trained in Ayurvedic medicine in India through the auspices of a Fulbright Fellowship, and trained in Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction at the clinic of Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts School of Medicine.

At this retreat we will do three or four yoga classes, practices of mindfulness meditation and of reducing suffering, a hike, and other activities.   We usually have about 15 people attend, a chance to make new  friends and connect, but also quiet time to read, relax and rejuvenate.

All classes and activities are optional.
