A week of yoga in paradise at Encantada Beach Retreat Center, on Costa Rica's Pacific Coast

Costa Rica was recently voted the "Happiest and Greenest nation on Earth", according to a report by the New Economics Foundation. This year's yoga retreat offers poolside rooms, and beachfront accommodations. We are very excited to be doing our third yoga retreat with our host Katrina at Encantada's magical resort, which is located in a small, friendly Costa Rican beach community 3 hours from San Jose on the Pacific Coast .

Encantada provides a wonderful setting for our sunrise and sunset yoga, guided meditations, and workshops. We will also offer and set up many optional activities:

horse back riding (beach or to waterfall), canopy zip line tours, rain forest hikes, surfing, and much more. We usually discover some of the magical Costa Rican inhabitants such as monkeys, sloths, frogs, turtles, and the many amazing birds, including toucans and scarlet macaws. We have to option to visit Manuel Antonio National Park with its monkeys, sloths, and other creatures. A massage therapist and other services are also available.

We are doing this yoga retreat in January because this is generally the best month of the year, with less rain and more sun and calm seas. (day temperatures about 85 degrees or so). There will also be time for reading, relaxing, and reflecting. Come join new friends who are exploring, healing, and awakening. This retreat is appropriate and can be modified for all levels of yoga and meditation experience.

Roy Holman has taught yoga and meditation for 10 years. He teaches a grounded, flowing Viniyoga-inspired style of traditional hatha yoga. Roy is a 500 hour Certified

Yoga Instructor trained in the Viniyoga tradition.

What is included in the Costa Rica Yoga Retreat fee of $1,195 (triple) or $1,295 (double)?

Ground transport: Van from & back to airport in San Jose.
9 Nights Hotel: Two nights in San Jose area (coming and going) and seven nights at Goddess Garden. I can match you with others, or for a single room add $350, if space allows – please talk with me first.
2 Daily Retreat Meals (for the 7 days at Encantada) : Full breakfast and luxury buffet dining experience.
Classes: All Yoga, Meditation, & Playshops
Air Option : Includes RT Air from Seattle : $1,895 (triple) or $1,995 (double)
Extra costs / options : Other meals ($100 or so), souvenirs, suggested tips (hotel, etc. maybe $40 total), extra activities (massage, trips, tours), airport departure tax of $30.
